मुस्लिम नेता मगर है कहां ?

मुसलमानों की भागीदारी और उनकी अगुवाई देखना चाहती है। लेकिन वे एसे किसी मुस्लिम नेता को खोज पाने में असमर्थ रहे हैं, जिसका राष्ट्रीय स्तर का व्यक्तित्व हो और अगर मुस्लिम नेता हैं भी तो , उन्हें पार्टियों ने चुनाव वाले दिन मुसलमानों को घर से निकालकर पोलिंग बूथ तक पहुंचाने की जिम्मेदार सोंप रखी है, अथवा ये धार्मिक संगठनों के सद्सय् हैं, जिनके लिये एक हद से ज्यादा प्रभाव विस्तार संभव नहीं है। अपनी इसी खूबी या खामी की वजह से ये दूसरे संगठनों और आंदोलनों तक अपनी पहुंच नहीं बना पाते। क्योंकि उनके मूल संगठन उन्हें इसकी इजाजत नहीं देते। उदाहरण के तौर पर कांग्रेस को ही ले लीजिये यहां मुसलमानों का नेतृत्व के संकट या इस समुदाय में नेतृत्व के विकसित नहीं होने के पीछे प्रमुख कारण हैं कांग्रेस में सिर्फ उन्हीं मुस्लिम नेताओ को प्रमोशन संभव है, जो मुस्लिम वोट बैंक को कांग्रेस के दरवाजे तक खींच लाने में उनकी मदद करे। लेकिन ऐसा करते हुऐ वे जानते हैं कि उन्हें मुसलमानों के बीच समुदाय सेवा करने में कोताही का जिम्मेदार ठहराया जायेगा भला कैसे इस बात को समझायेंगे ? कि अधिकतर समय कांग्रेस के शासन के बावजूद वे पिछड़े क्यों हैं ? इसलिये भारत की मुस्लिम आबादी, जो लगभग अठारह प्रतिशत है, में एक ऐसे नेता का अभाव है जिसपर पूरा समुदाय यकीन कर सके। अब जबकि ऐसा कोई मुस्लिम नेता नहीं है, तो भला मुसलमानों के मामले और उनकी समस्याऐं राष्ट्रीय पर कौन रखे ? इनकी मांगों के लिये कौन लड़े ? फिर जब नीतियां बनती हैं या तय होती हैं, उस दौरान उनके मामलों पर बातचीत करने के लिये उनकी जरूरतें और उनकी मांगें रखने के लिये इन विचार – विमर्श समुहों में उऩकी बात कौन रखे ? दरअस्ल, मुस्लिम समुदाय एक एसे नेतृत्व के अभाव के संकट से गुजर रहा है, जो न सिर्फ इसकी तात्कालिक परेशानियों को देख व समझ सके, बल्कि उसके दूरगामी हितों और विकास की रूपरेखा भी बना सके, ताकि लोग उसकी अगुवाई में अपने वैध हितों के लिये संघर्ष कर सकें और एक बड़े समाजिक न्याय आंदोलन में अपनी हिस्सेदारी निभा सके।
